Murat Evgin, born on November 5, 1977, in Istanbul, completed his primary education at Nurettin Teksan Primary School and graduated from \u0130stek Foundation’s Private Belde High School.
While studying in the Radio-TV-Cinema department at Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication in 1999, he released his first album Beni Ellere Verdin<\/em>, which included songs he wrote himself.
After his second album \u0130nan Bana<\/em> in 2003, he began composing music for TV competitions and series.
In 2005, he created the song \u015eehit<\/em>, whose symbolic royalties were donated to the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmet\u00e7ik Foundation, and he filmed a music video with the legendary Turkish actress H\u00fclya Ko\u00e7yi\u011fit.
He composed music for popular TV shows such as Ben Evleniyorum<\/em>, Biz Evleniyoruz<\/em>, Kalplerde \u0130kinci Bahar<\/em>, Ah Kalbim<\/em>, and Ya \u015eundad\u0131r Ya Bunda<\/em> hosted by Ebru Akel and Mehmet Ali Erbil, as well as sitcoms like Haylaz Babam<\/em> (Uygur Karde\u015fler), \u00c7ocu\u011fun Var Derdin Var<\/em> (\u015eevval Sam, Cem Davran), and TV series such as Acemi Cad\u0131<\/em>, Arka Sokaklar<\/em>, Umut Yolcular\u0131<\/em>, Ay\u0131\u015f\u0131\u011f\u0131<\/em>, \u0130kizler Memo-Can<\/em>, Elif<\/em>, Yaral\u0131 Ku\u015flar<\/em>, Can\u0131m Annem<\/em>, and Toprak \u0130le Fidan<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music for Arka Sokaklar<\/em> made history by becoming Turkey’s longest-running TV series, with 19 seasons and nearly 700 episodes.
His music reached international audiences, especially through the series Elif<\/em>, Yaral\u0131 Ku\u015flar<\/em>, and Can\u0131m Annem<\/em>, being heard in the Balkans, Spain, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, and throughout Latin America.
Interviews with him were published in the press of many countries, from Mexico to Cuba, Spain to Argentina.
In 2017, he became the first Turkish composer whose music was released for the Netflix series Myths & Monsters<\/em>, marking his debut on Netflix USA.
In 2018, he composed the music for the four-part documentary series The Stuarts – A Bloody Reign<\/em>, broadcast in the UK, hosted by History Professor Kate Williams.
In 2021, he composed the music for \u0130yi ki Yap\u0131\u015f\u0131m<\/em>, a Netflix series about the life of Metin Akp\u0131nar, and in 2022, for the Netflix documentary Caniko<\/em>, about Y\u0131ld\u0131z Kenter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murat Evgin has performed concerts not only in Turkey but also in countries such as Germany, Spain, the United States, and Colombia.
